Information about Userite

The Userite team has a wide range of experience covering website design, e-government, internet services, training and marketing. Our company was established in 2000 with a mission to provide an independent, flexible service to help website owners and developers make their websites accessible and usable for the widest possible audience. Our passion is making websites inclusive to everyone.

Our team

Our technical department is led by Richard Warren. He has been working on web usability and accessibility for more than ten years and is regularly involved in EU research projects looking at the impacts of new technology on society. One of Richard's important skills is explaining technical issues in a non-technical way !

Our Sales and Marketing department is managed by Peter Fogg who joined us seven years ago after many years working for Honeywell Bull. Peter has over 30 years experience in the IT industry and is very focussed on  listening to what customers want and delivering top quality services.

Our technical team is supported by a user panel consisting of a broad range of disabled users including those who are blind, visually impaired, deaf, motor impaired and who suffer with dyslexia. There is a wide age range and the panel members undertake the tests in their normal environment, either at home or at work.

Feedback from our panel is invaluable in ensuring that our audit reports identify all areas where accessibility problems occur. They frequently find problems that are not specifically related to accessibility guidelines.
