Web Accessibility Awareness Raising sessions
We regularly illustrate the key points of website accessibility at awareness raising sessions organised in London, Birmingham and Manchester. The actual presentations are adapted to each target audience, but usually include
- Reminder of the basic principles behind the web
- Examples of how disabled people use the web
- Illustrations of how the web can be a "life enhancing" experience for disabled people
- Practical examples of common accessibility barriers and how easy they are to remove
- The legal aspects of web accessibility
- Introduction to the W3C accessibility guidelines
- Sources for further information
These half-day seminars are run in conjunction with VerseOne Technologies. Details of the next round of seminars can be found on their website.
If you would like us to run a bespoke awareness session for your organisation, or at an event you are organising, or if you would like a copy of our presentation notes to help you run your own session please enquire by using our contact form, or email our training team (tutors@userite.com).
